Tigers Comeback Effort Falls Short Against MACU

McPherson, Kan. – The Central Christian College men's basketball team experienced a loss on Monday against the MACU Evangels, 85-78. 

The Tigers and Evangels immediately headlock in a back-and-forth battle for the lead. The Evangels manage to take a hold of the lead, but the Tigers turn up the defense and that lead stays close. Maulana Omari scores a good three pointer at the 8:07 mark, assisted by Chris Whitten

After the break, the Evangels continued to turn up on their offense, but that didn't stop the Tigers. At the 18:06 mark, Omari Maulana scores a three-point shot assisted by Chris Whitten, breaking 30. Isaiah Perry scores a good two pointer at the 11:28 mark. Overall, the game was consistent with points and the Tigers and Evangels fought hard. The battle was hard and close. Good game Tigers!

Free throws ended up being the difference as the Tigers were just 20 of 28 from the charity stripe.
