McPherson, Kan. – The Central Christian College men's basketball team experienced a loss on Monday against the MACU Evangels, 85-78.
The Tigers and Evangels immediately headlock in a back-and-forth battle for the lead. The Evangels manage to take a hold of the lead, but the Tigers turn up the defense and that lead stays close. Maulana Omari scores a good three pointer at the 8:07 mark, assisted by Chris Whitten.
After the break, the Evangels continued to turn up on their offense, but that didn't stop the Tigers. At the 18:06 mark, Omari Maulana scores a three-point shot assisted by Chris Whitten, breaking 30. Isaiah Perry scores a good two pointer at the 11:28 mark. Overall, the game was consistent with points and the Tigers and Evangels fought hard. The battle was hard and close. Good game Tigers!
