McPherson, Kan. – The Central Christian College men's basketball team started their week with a tough game against the Langston University Lions, loss 90-54.
The first two minutes of the game the Tigers and Lions were locked in, no baskets being scored. The Tiger's obtain the lead and keep their grip on it until the score is tied at the 14:41 mark. The back-and-forth match between the two jungle cats lasts for over two minutes until the Lions grab hold of it.
The Tigers try to turn up their offense, but the Lions do also, and the first half ends with the Lions holding an 18 point lead. Shortly after halftime the Tigers call a timeout to regroup. After the break,
Omari Maulana shoots a good two pointer at the 17:36 mark. 23 seconds later
Isaiah Perry shoots a successful three point shot, assisted by Maulana.
The Lions kept putting on the pressure with their offense. The Tigers tried to turn up the heat too but couldn't quite keep up. Overall, it was a very good effort. Good job Tigers!
