Tigers Battle Trailblazers But Come Up Short, 75-68

McPherson, Kan. - The Central Christian College Tigers faced off against the University of North Texas at Dallas Trailblazers in a close contest which ultimately saw the Tigers get handed their second conference loss of the season, losing to the Trailblazers 75-68.
The first half was back and forth but 11 points in the last three minutes helped the Tigers jump out to a six point lead at the break. The Tigers shot 45% from the field in the first half which propelled them to their lead in the closing minutes of the half.
The Tigers scored eight straight points to start the second half and built a 14 point lead with 17 minutes to go in the contest. After consecutive turnovers, the Trailblazers cut into the Tiger lead. The Tigers held an eight point lead with 8:43 remaining in the game. A UNTD run saw the lead cut down to three in less than one minute. The Trailblazers would continue their offensive attack, converting shot after shot to gain a comfortable seven point lead with a 1:26 remaining. The Tigers were unable to comeback and fell to the Trailblazers on Saturday night.

The Tigers are back in action this Saturday, December 14th as they take on College of the Ozarks here at the Jerry E. Alexander Arena at 3:45PM. Saturday is also Farmers Alliance Family Night, as Farmers Alliance employees and their families get in free to both games. The games will also be streamed on the SAC Sports Network.
