Tigers Battle Hard in 68-49 Loss to Oklahoma City

In a tough home contest on Saturday afternoon, the Central Christian College Tigers fell to the Oklahoma City University Stars by a final score of 68-49. Despite the loss, the Tigers showed resilience and strong individual performances, with key contributions from several players.
Chloe Clevenger led the way for Central Christian, recording her 3rd double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Clevenger's tenacity on both ends of the floor kept the Tigers in the game, while Cristina Laudan also made a significant impact, adding 10 points for the Tigers, her high point night as a Tiger, and Hallee Winsea chipped in 9 points of her own. Despite their efforts, the Tigers struggled to keep pace with a talented Oklahoma City squad.
Defensively, Central Christian worked hard to contain the Stars, but Oklahoma City's offensive efficiency and size ultimately proved to be the difference in the contest. The Tigers fought hard throughout the game, but Oklahoma City's ability to hit timely shots gave them a steady lead.
With the loss, the Tigers drop to 2-6 on the season. However, there is a lot of optimism moving forward as they look to build on the performances of their key players and improve as the season progresses.
