Hot Start Not Enough as Tigers Fall to Aggies

Goodwell, OK-Despite a hot start where the Tigers jumped up to an 18 point lead after the 1st quarter, the Tigers were outscored 43-18 in quarters 2 and 3, and the Panhandle State Aggies beat the Tigers 63-56.

The first quarter saw great team play as the Tigers assisted on 8 of 10 made shots in route to at 26-8 lead after 1, where 6 Tigers scored. Unfortunately the Tigers only were able to rack up 8 more assists over the next 3 quarters, and the Aggies held the Tigers into only 1 offensive rebound in quarters 2 and 3 total, which led to 1 shot trips, and the Aggies capitalized, sneaking back into the game before the half and the Tigers led 39-33.

The 3rd quarter told the story, as the Tigers shot 2-14 and had one offensive rebound, where the Aggies who shot only 35%, but the 7 offensive rebounds allowed the Aggies 2nd chances, where they ended up outscoring the Tigers 18-5. The Aggies bench outscored the Tigers 26-6 throughout.

The Tigers were ice cold shooting in the 2nd half, shooting 7-27 (25%). Despite the shooting, the Tigers were able to put 4 players in double figures led by Charmayne Marshall and Cristina Laudan with 13. Hallee Winsea scored 11, and Chloe Clevenger added 10.
