Goodwell, OK-An 8 minute stretch in the 2nd half, where the Tigers held Oklahoma Panhandle State without a Field goal, and making their free throws late, boosted the Tigers to a big 2nd half, and came with the victory 82-69, Thursday night on the road.
The Aggies controlled most of the 1st half as they led at the break, 35-31. The Tigers came out blazing in the 2nd half, with a 23-7 scoring start, that also had a 14-2 run with the Tigers holding the Aggies to no field goals in that span. The Tigers were able to outscore the Aggies 51-34 in the 2nd half.
Chris Whitten led the Tigers with 28 points. Jevarrick Butler had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Malichi Farr (12), and Omari Maulana (11) added double figures, with Farr scoring 9 of his points in the 2nd half on 7-8 from the Free Throw line down the stretch. Travis King played quality minutes off the bench scoring 8 and 5 rebounds.
