Tigers Fall Short Against JBU

Siloam Springs, Ark. – The Central Christian College Men's Basketball team lost a very close battle with John Brown University by a score of 75-72.
The Tigers got off to a rough start. John Brown held the lead for most of the first half, struggling against the Tigers in a back-and-forth match between tying the points up and fighting for the lead. The Tigers would take a slim lead into halftime, leading 41-40.

After halftime, the Tigers turned up the heat with their offense. The Tigers held a 7-point lead early in the second half and looked to build on that lead. However, with around 8 minutes to go in the game, JBU went on an 8-2 run to give them the lead. After cutting the deficit to just three, the Tigers would have a look to send the game to overtime but it would not fall.

Key Statistic
John Brown would wind up shooting 46% from the floor compared to the Tigers' 38%. This would prove to be a difference maker as timely buckets by the Golden Eagles kept them in the game.
