In the second half, the Tigers came out sluggish and Tabor took advantage of this by scoring just 3 minutes into the second half to take a 2-0 lead. Tabor would go on to add another goal in the 64
th minute to take a 3-0 advantage. This would end up being the final score as the Tigers could not get anything going offensively.
In goal for the Tigers was
Katelyn Beckman (So. Colorado Springs, Colo.). She faced eleven shots on goal and finished the night with eight saves.
"Today's game was one we really wanted to do well in! For the most part in the first half we played well and kept up with Tabor! We have a lot of players who are playing out of position so it is hard for them to keep concentration for 90minutes. We made a few mistakes that cost us dearly but I really proud of some of our plays today. There was unity and there were great saves by our keeper Beckman!" – Coach Macharia
Next for the Tigers, they have a home matchup here in McPherson against Kansas Wesleyan on Saturday, September 9
th at 5:30PM.
