Wichita, Kan. – The Tigers were back in action on Wednesday night as they took on Friends University in Wichita. This non-conference matchup proved to be a good test for the Tigers as they looked to get their first road win of the season.
Central came out of the gates a little slow dropping the first two sets of the match. The Tigers responded well in the third set where they won a back and forth battle 28-26. This momentum however would not last as Friends would take the last set 25-15 to win the match 3-1.

Coach Quote
Coach Hughes had this to say about their match "Tough match last night but we saw a lot of good things from our team. There were a lot of things that did not go well but our team never quit. We are working hard, growing and improving! It was good to see a lot of contributors last night and for us to compete as well as we did and take a set from Friends was a big step for our program. I'm excited to continue through the season and see what our players will accomplish! Tough loss but hard fought with lots of growing points."
