North Newton, Kan. – The Central Christian College women's soccer team suffered another loss on the road Wednesday evening, this time a 4-1 decision at the hands of the Bethel College Threshers.

The Tigers played a much better overall game, but were just outmatched by the Threshers. The Threshers scored two goals in each frame, the first coming in the 18th minute of the first half, and the second seven minutes later in the 25th minute.

Less than three minutes into the second half, they struck again, then added a fourth and final goal in the 55th minute. The Tigers got on the board late in the second half when Aliyah Moya (Sr. Colorado Springs, Colo.) found the back of the net in the 82nd minute off of an assist by Stephanie Zazueta (Fr. San Tan Valley, Ariz.).

Katelyn Beckman (So. Colorado Springs, Colo.) collared the loss in net for the Tigers. She faced nine shots on goal, and finished with five saves.

"Today's game Regardless of the score line we played better", said Coach Macharia. "There was more desire and hunger to compete, we just played a team that was better on the day. We also got four players back into play, but you can tell they are missing a beat. This was a good game for them to come back though. Our prayer is that we keep healing players and the get our last three players cleared to compete."

The Tigers, now 0-3-1 on the year, will be back on the road on Saturday, travelling to St. Louis, Mo. for a noon match-up with the Harris-Stowe University Hornets.
