Oklahoma City, Okla. – The Central Christian College women's basketball team fell to 0-2 in Sooner Athletic Conference play with a 87-31 loss on the road Saturday against the Oklahoma City University Stars.

For the Tigers the game was marred by too much inconsistency on both ends of the floor. In quarters one and three, the Tiger defense was solid, holding the Stars to just 17 and 16 points respectively, but in the other two periods, the Stars ran roughshod over the Tigers scoring 25 and 29 points.

Offensively, it was tough sledding all night for the Tigers. They were held to single digits in three of the four quarters. Their best offensive output came out of the halftime intermission where they put up 15 points.

"We are struggling to score and take care of the basketball. That leads to easy points for the other team. I need to do a better job of preparing them to compete at a higher level! We need to get better and that starts with me."– Coach Willems
