Manhattan, Kan. – The Central Christian College women's basketball team picked up their second win of the season with a 59-18 victory on the road over the Manhattan Christian College Thunder.
The Thunder were overmatched and had only six players listed on the roster. Had the Tigers shot the ball better, the point spread would have been much higher. The Tigers came out hot, scoring 25 points in the first quarter and holding the Thunder to just eight.
In the second quarter the Tiger defense was even stingier holding the Thunder offense to zero field goals, and just one point off of a free throw. Unfortunately their offensive production went down as well to the tune of just 11 points in the quarter. At the break, the Tigers led 36-9.
In the second half, the Tiger continued to shoot the ball below their season average, but their defense remained solid. They outscored the Thunder 23 to 9 in the final ten minutes of action to finish with a 41 point victory.

Coaches Quote
"Defensively we did some good things and again for the most part I liked our effort! Offensively there are times we can be really good and then times we get very stagnant! We need to get more consistent! Playing even more short-handed we had to play out if position and we need to be able to do our jobs no matter what! We are still growing!" – Coach Willems
