Waxahachie, Texas. – The Central Christian College men's basketball team fell to Southwestern Assemblies of God University on Saturday, on the road, 94-52.
The SAGU Lions shot lights out in their home arena, making 37 of 69 shots from the floor including 13 from beyond the arc. The Tigers found themselves in an uphill battle early, and at the end of the first half they were down 24, 45-21.
It didn't get much better in the second half, the Lions continued to make shots at a torrid pace, and the Tigers couldn't keep up. Both teams increased their point production in the second half with the Lions winning the second frame 49-31.
By the Numbers
Offensively, the Tigers made 21 of 58 (36%) shots from the floor, but were just 4 of 24 (16%) from deep.
At the free throw line they were 6 of 7 (86%) for the game.
The Tigers lost the turnover battle 15 to 10, and were out-rebounded by the Lions 44 to 24.

The Tigers will try and bounce back on Thursday when they host the Southwestern Christian University Eagles at Jerry Alexander Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:45 pm.
