Box Score Siloam Spring, Ark. – The Central Christian College volleyball team was on the road Wednesday for a Sooner Athletic Conference matchup in Siloam Spring, Arkansas with the John Brown University Golden Eagles.
The Tigers, looking for their first win in SAC play, ran into a buzz saw, falling to the Golden Eagles in straight sets, 25-9, 25-11, 25-14. John Brown served tough all night, and had the Tigers out of system a majority of the match. When the Tigers did get a good first touch, the setters were able to deliver quality sets that the hitters could attack. Unfortunately good first touches were too far and in between to give the attackers enough good looks.
One bright spot for the Tigers was the play of Aijah Sampsell, who came off the bench in the second set and hit .438 with 8 kills on 16 swings with just one attacking error.

All 20 kills had an assist attached to it.

Coach Quote
"Tough match tonight. JBU is a good team and runs a fast offense. They will be tough to compete with in the conference for sure. We are starting to see some individuals perform well and execute at a good level but we are still looking for that game where we pull everything together. I believe we have a lot of potential and I think it's time we start realizing that potential." – Coach Rick Hughes
