McPherson, Kan. – The Central Christian College volleyball team fell in straight sets on Saturday afternoon to the Wayland Baptist University Pioneers in the Jerry Alexander Arena.
The Tigers looked out of sync from the beginning of the match. They struggled to get any kind of rhythm going on offense, and defensively they couldn't find and effective way to stop the Pioneer attack. They dropped the opening set 25-17, then it got worse in the second set as they fell 25-16. They made some personnel changes in the third set, and actually led by four points late in the set, but allowed the Pioneers to go on a run, and ended up losing the set 25-22.
Key Statistic
Again, the difference in the match came down to offensive efficiency. The Tigers hit .061 while the Pioneers were north of .200.

Coach Quote
"Still seeing good individual play from a lot of our players. Now we are working on coming together as a team. Our chemistry has been a little off recently but I believe our team can come together and start competing together to win some matches in conference. Our program has come a long but we are still trying to grow as a program." – Coach Rick Hughes
