McPherson, Kan. – After a disappointing loss 24 hours prior, the Central Christian College women's volleyball team took the court again, this time hosting the Manhattan Christian College Thunder at Jerry E. Alexander Arena.
The Tigers and MCC met a couple of weeks ago on the Thunder home court. The match back in late August went the distance, with the Thunder winning 3-2. On Wednesday evening, the Tigers bounced back after the emotion loss to McPherson College the night before, and were able to outlast the Thunder in four sets, avenging the loss earlier in the season.
The Tigers opened by dominating the first set 25-13. For whatever reason, the Tigers took a step back in the set, and the Thunder evened the match, winning set two 25-21. The Tigers regrouped in set three, finding their form again and running away with the set 25-16. With the chance to close out the Thunder, the Tigers handled their business, and took set four 25-17.
