Coach Moody commented on the women's performance saying, "Starting off the season with a 2nd place finish is a great launching point. Mikyla Albert put together a great tournament with rounds of 82 & 78, which was good enough for a top 5 finish!"

On the men's side, the Tigers entered two teams into the field. The Tigers' first team was -2 after the first round and held a four stroke lead. Things didn't go as planned and they surrendered the lead heading into the final round on Tuesday. They rebounded from a disappointing second round and finished strong, landing in 3rd place with a three round total of 882. Fourteen of the 15 rounds played by the Tigers were shot in the 70s, with the low round turned in by Max Gardner, a 70 in the opening round. Max would wind up as the Tigers' top individual medalist shooting 70, 72, 71 and finishing in 2nd place. Below are the scores from the other individuals on the first team.

Coach Moody summed up the tournament for the men saying, "I am pleased with the way we started the season. We shot a 3-over 287 the first round, so we now know what we are capable of. We need to be in a little better golf shape so that we can have better stamina coming into the 2nd 18-holes of a 36-hole day. What I am most proud of out of this group is that we grinded out the round after a rough start to round 3. Congratulations to Max Gardner for a runner up finish as well!"
