Langston, Okla. – After three exhibition games in the span of 10 days, the Central Christian College women's basketball team returned to Sooner Athletic Conference action on Tuesday night, on the road against the Langston University Lions.
Compounding things was the fact that the Tigers were missing a couple of key players. Despite the obstacles, the Tigers went out and competed with the Lions. The Central ladies had two bad periods, the first and the third quarters.
In the first quarter the Lions outscored the Tigers 30 to 5, and in the third they were outscored 34 to 16. At the end of the first half, the Lions led 48 to 20, and when the final horn sounded, the deficit was 51, 101-50.
By the Numbers
For the game, the Tigers shot 31% from the floor, making 14 of 44 attempts.
They made 7 of 23 (30%) of their attempts from beyond the three point arc.
They were 15 of 21 (71%) from the free throw line.
The Tigers lost the turnover battle 33 to 14, and were out rebounded 55 to 31.

With the loss, the Tigers fall to 0-7 overall, and 0-3 in the SAC. No rest for the weary as they will be back on the hardwood Thursday in a 6:00 pm matchup with John Brown University in Jerry E. Alexander Arena.
