Manhattan, Kan. – It was another uncharacteristically bad night for the Central Christian College men's basketball team as they fell on the road to Manhattan Christian College 89-67.
Everything that seemingly could go wrong for the Tigers did, and conversely the MCC Thunder could do no wrong. The home side slowly inched away from the Tigers building up a double digit lead by the end of the first half 41-28.
The Tigers tried to regroup during the intermission, and they scored the first points of the second half, playing with a sense of urgency. The Thunder weathered the early storm then went right back to work, running their sets with precision and scoring at will. The Tigers were unable to make a dent in the Thunder lead and they found themselves on the wrong end of a lopsided loss for the second game in a row.
Key Statistic
The Tigers were lacking inside the paint. The Thunder outscored the Tigers 58-46 inside, and won the rebounding battle 37-22.
By the Numbers
