Waxahachie, Texas –The Central Christian College women's soccer team's 2022 season came to an end on Saturday in a 0-0 draw on the road at Southwestern Assemblies of God University.
It was pretty much a stalemate between both teams from the first kick-off. The Tigers were credited with only two total shots in the game, none on goal, and SAGU was given credit for 13 total shots and one on frame. Katelyn Beckman was in goal for the Tigers, recording the one save.
Coach Macharia summed up the season saying, "SAGU was a fair ending to our season. We competed well and I think with all things considered we felt that this was a foundation of who we want to be in future as a team. We fought together and supported each other both on the field and on the bench. I have been blessed to journey with these girls through a tough season covered by losses, injuries, sicknesses and sprinkled in has been some victories and ties along with an abundance of God's grace and great friendships."
With the draw the Tigers finish their 2022 campaign at 4-10-2 overall, and 0-7-2 in the SAC.
