Men's Volleyball

Men's Volleyball has a Historic Day

1/21/2022 7:27:00 PM

Box Score Palos Heights, Illinois - The first chapter in the Men's Volleyball program at Central Christian College of Kansas began this afternoon in exciting fashion in Palos Heights, Illinois. The Tigers took the floor against the Maranatha Baptist University Sabercats in the 3rd Match of the NCCAA Men's Volleyball Invitational eventually losing in the 5th set (25-21, 21-25, 25-27, 25-13, 15-8).

From start the finish the men played hard, and it is safe to say the CCCK Men's Volleyball program is poised for many great future moments. The Tiger men had very little time to dwell on this match, as they had a quick turn around and played Ottawa University of Arizona at 7:00 PM CST this evening in the next match of the tournament. The team once again battled; however fell in 3 sets (25-17, 25-14, 25-18).

Coach Hughes provided the following post-match comments,

"This was an excellent beginning to the Men's volleyball program. To play our first match against a quality team, perform well, and have a chance to win in 5 all with an incredible group of guys! I'm so proud of the guys we have playing and the start of the program! Praise the Lord for letting us be a part of this exciting adventure! In our second match, we got to play against a phenomenal team in Ottawa University of Arizona! To watch our guys still run our program, compete, and score as well as they did, was great!  I can't say enough about the team and how well they have played and how well they are representing our school!"

Congratulations men and Coach Hughes on kicking off your season. The Tiger Nation is cheering for you.
