Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Blanks Dallas Christian 8-0

Dallas, Texas - Lady Tigers technically opened their season last week, but had to wait to get on the field as Manhattan Christian had to forfeit the match. The Lady Tigers were itching to get on the pitch and they showed up in a big way against Dallas Christian by scoring 8 goals before the game would be called due to the extreme heat late in the 2nd half.

In what has only been a few short weeks into the semester the Tigers have already faced a lot of adversity. This would continue as the ladies traveled down to Texas without 5 key players. In spite of the players unable to travel, heat and humidity the team continued to come together and support each other. This was evident as the Lady Tigers scored 8 goals within 75 minutes of play before the game was officially suspended due to the heat index.

Head Coach Cole Ouren:
"I'm extremely proud of the players and the performance they were able to put together in spite of all the obstacles. We haven't really been able to train the last several days prior to the trip but this was not really evident. This was most evident by senior Rachel Schlagel who tallied 2 assist and 2 goals."

"It was exciting to see the team go out and play in such a dominate style. And in the midst of a shortened pre-season it was also encouraging for everyone to receive playing time! We now look to recover and prepare for Bethany on Friday"

The coaching staff is excited for the season ahead! We have a very talented and experienced team that is eager to cement their legacy within the program and institution!
