LADY TIGERS SPLIT WITH THE BACONE WARRIORS

McPherson, KS – Central Christian finds their way to double digit wins in a season after a game one 5-3 win over the warriors. The win would also end a six game skid, but the win streak would be short-lived after game two's 7-2 loss.

Tigers would have a solid performance in game one with their only kryptonite being walks allowed. The Tigers would spread out the Warriors hits well, but they would also draw eight walks that would lead three runs scored. Fortunately for the Tigers their bats would bail them out and they would score five runs on eleven hits.

Jess Aldana would collect three hits on the night, followed by teammates Taylor Bourne with two, Hannah Hoffman with two, and Destiny Holt with two to wrap up all the Tiger batters with a multi-hit game.
Hoffman would have a complete game going 7.0 innings yielding three runs on six hits, with eight walks, and four strikeouts to lock down her third win of the season.

Game two the Tigers would hang with the Warriors through the first 3.0 innings tied 1-1 going to the 4th inning. Warriors would unleash a four run inning that put them ahead 5-1 with the Tigers struggling to get any offense going. Kayla Palmer of the Warriors would work 7.0 innings only allowing four hits and one run and thirteen strikeouts. The stats wouldn't show the Tigers would hit the ball well, but they would be hit right to the Warriors and they win easily 7-1 in game two to split the series 1-1.

Tigers will continue their non-conference play tomorrow taking on Southwestern College (Kan.) in a double header.

Central Christian Quotes
Head Coach Aaron Annis

"We had a hard time adjusting with the speed of the pitching. I thought we made solid contact when we were solid contact when we were up to bat, just couldn't get a group of hits together to score the runs we needed to win game 2."

Go Tigers!
