Ottawa, KS – The Braves (27-15, 17-9 KCAC) scored all of their runs in the 3
rd, 4
th, and 5
th inning as they limited the Tigers (7-29-1, 2-16 SAC) to only three hits as they took the single 7 inning game 5-0.
After coming off a solid weekend against Randall University, Coach McNett and the Tigers continued their non-conference play against the Braves from Ottawa University.
Tigers would limit the Braves to only five hits, but Rylan Cratsenberg from the Braves would collect 2 of those hits including a HR and 3 RBI's.
Daniel Kim would get his first start as a Tiger and would go 4.0 innings yielding 2 runs (1 ER) on 3 hits, 3 walks, and 2 HBP. The rest of the Tiger pitching staff would go 3.0 innings yielding 3 runs on 2 hits and a walk.
Offensively, the Tigers would scrap together 3 hits, 5 walks and 7 strikeouts. Unfortunately, they couldn't connect in the same inning and the Braves completed the shutout win.
Tigers currently sit 3.0 GB of 8th place in the SAC. Tigers have a 3 game series @ Texas Wesleyan, a non-conference game against Friends University, and the Senior Day Series versus SAGU to conclude their regular season.
Be sure to stay tuned in and watch as the Tigers come down the stretch and fight for a spot in the SAC tournament.
Go Tigers!
