LADY TIGERS BATTLE OKLAHOMA CITY STARS

McPherson, KS – The Lady Tigers hosted the Oklahoma City Stars in a double header SAC matchup.

Tigers would turn to Cheyann Sales to take the circle in game one against the Stars. Sales would go 4.0 innings, yielding eight runs on nine hits and two HBP. Sales would have a solid performance until the top of the 4th when the Stars would score 6 runs after two outs were recorded. Mekaylee Beard would finish out the game with a 1-2-3 inning.

Tigers offense would only be able to string a couple of hits and a walk without scoring a run and the Stars would take game one 8-0.

Game two would be radically different for the Tigers as they would spark some offense and keep the Stars honest.

Tiger's offense would collect six runs, on eleven hits, and draw three walks in game two. Jessica Aldana would account for three of the hits including a double, going 3-4 to continue her impressive season. Destiny Holt would lead the Tigers with two RBI, and Altavia Hall would have a solid performance with a double, RBI, and a walk.

Tiger's pitching would get rattled around early surrendering eight runs through 2.1 innings of work. From there the Tigers would be able to tame the stars with only three runs through 5.2 innings.
Tigers would unfortunately still be behind after the 7th inning and fall short in game two as the Stars leave with a sweep.

Tigers fall to 9-15, 4-12 SAC and will shift their attention to USAO this weekend in a four game series in Chickasha, OK.

Central Christian Quotes
Head Coach Aaron Annis

"I thought our defense played well today. Our bats came alive in game 2 to get within 4 runs. These games will help us prepare for USAO later this week."

Go Tigers!
