Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

TIGERS DOWNED IN 2ND HALF TO GOLDEN EAGLES

McPherson, KS – Golden Eagles score 4 goals in the 2nd half in route to shutout the Tigers 4-0.

The Tigers knew they would have their hands full, as John Brown has historically been a difficult team to defeat including being the 2019 SAC Champs. The start of the game would start off well for the Tigers as they would be able to keep the score 0-0 with 2 saves on 2 opportunities and put 4 shots on goal.

The 2nd half would be a different story as JBU would take advantage of their opportunities scoring on 4 of the 5 S.O.G. and the Tigers only able to come up with 1 save. Tigers wouldn't find as many opportunities to score as they would only take 2 shots total with only 1 of those being on target.

Tigers (5-9-2, 0-5-1 SAC) will play USAO (6-3-3, 2-2-1 SAC) on March 19th in Chickasha, OK as they look to climb the standing in the SAC.

Central Christian Quotes
Head Coach Aaron Hoxie:

"Hard to look at the score and think that we didn't get out played, but the truth is, we didn't. The difference is that they took their chances that came and we didn't. We made mistakes with our coverage, and they didn't. It's as simple as that."

"We didn't do the little things right over 90 mins. First half, my kids were flawless...energetic, dedicated, committed, and most importantly, full of concentration. For 25 minutes in the second half, the concentration was gone, and 4 goals later it was time to go see what was being served in the cafe."

"Look...it's a tough run of games in this conference. We play the top 7 teams all in a row. It's a hard place to be in. The truth is, we compete, we aren't an easy out...but we have to play perfect for 90 minutes to win a match. It's going to happen for us...and when it does, look out, it's going to be the longest 90 minutes of the season for you."

Go Tigers!
