TIGERS GO 1-1 TO BEGIN THEIR WEEKEND HOMESTAND

McPherson, KS – Both the Tigers and the Defenders wouldn't have a problem with power in today's contest as both teams would have a slug fest with 10 Homeruns. Defenders would make a 8-3 comeback to take the game 13-12 and the Tigers would respond in game two with a 17-10 victory to even the series against Dordt.

Game One

Tigers would send Michael Pedraza on the mound in game one. Pedraza would go 3.0 innings, yielding nine runs (two unearned) on seven hits, with four walks, and three strikeouts. Caleb Ebert would come in relief for 2.0 innings yielding three runs on three hits with three walks and a strikeout. Freddie Weider would come in a tie ball game 12-12 and would surrender a run (that would end up deciding the game) and earned the loss in an inning pitched.

Tigers offense would be led by Trystin Gilbert (1-4 HR, 2 RBI, 2 Runs), Michael Falcon (1-3 HR, 3 RBI, 2 BB, 2 Runs), and Patrick Medina (1-1 HR, 3 RBI, Run) *Pitch Hit in 6th. Tigers would get twelve runs on nine hits, eleven RBI, with seven walks and seven strikeouts.

Game Two

Elliot Castorena would get the start in game two for the Tigers. Castorena would allow three runs (1 unearned) on two hits, four walks, fanning one in 3.0 innings pitched. Noah Plaisance would come in the top of the 4th and would pitch 2.1 innings in relief earning the win on the game. Plaisance would go scoreless, surrendering two hits, and a walk. Edward Delaportilla would finish the last 2.0 innings, yielding four runs (one earned), on two hits, with five walks, fanning five.

Tiger's offense would be led by Justin Taylor (3-5 2 HR, 2B, 4 RBI, 3 Runs, 1 BB), Josh Clyden (3-3 4 Runs, 2 RBI, 2 BB), Trystin Gilbert (2-3 3 Runs, 2 RBI, 2 BB) and Mason Seay (2-3 2 RBI, 2B, 2 BB, Run) Tigers would score seventeen runs on thirteen hits, thirteen RBI, with thirteen walks and four strikeouts.

Tigers go to 2-6-1 on the season and will finish their 3 game series against Dordt, tomorrow morning. Then they will finish off their weekend with a game against Avila in the afternoon.
