McPherson, KS – A couple more minutes added to this game, and we might be writing a different script. The Tigers got off to perhaps their worst start at home this season as they trailed the Patriots 64-44 at the halfway point.
Tigers after being shocked in the first half, had to kick it into another gear if they wanted to get back into this one. With senior night on the line the Tigers would change the momentum and start to grind away the Patriot lead.
With minutes remaining the Tigers would get their deficit back down to single digits for the first time since early in the 1
st half and really start to push the pressure on the Patriots to answer. Unfortunately for the Tigers, the Patriots would answer back and down the stretch would knock down their free throws to keep the Tigers from getting back into the game.
Tigers honored their lone senior (not returning)
Hunter Layton on the night as he got some quality minutes and got to suit up as a Tiger player for perhaps his last time.
Tigers offense would be led by
Isaiah Rivera who would score 26 on the night before fouling out late in the 2
nd half.
Demario Moore would have a good night from beyond the arc, knocking down 6 triples.
Byron Staten and
Keshon Kittrell would both add 17 points with teammate
Ronald Jamierson finishing with 14.
Tigers finish the regular season 9-9, 3-7 SAC.
Go Tigers!
