McPherson, KANSAS – The Edgemon duo from Wayland Baptist combine for 47 points going 22-30 from the floor in their 110-61 victory over the Lady Tigers.
Wayland Baptist showed the Lady Tigers why they are ranked #6 in the country with their sharp shooting, rebounding, and ability to move the ball.
The #6 team in the county used some efficient shooting to begin the game to separate themselves from the Tigers, going 9-20 from the field. However, after 1 quarter the Tigers lingered around scoring 12, only down 9 points.
The 2
nd quarter was identical to the 1
st, with the Flying Queens beginning to build more separation with a 24 point quarter to go up 45-24 at half.
The Lady Tigers began to get things going offensively in the 2
nd half, they hit 9 three's, including 6 in the 4
th quarter alone and scored a season high 23 points. Unfortunately for the Tigers, the Flying Queens closed with 35 points in the 3
rd and 30 in the 4
th to take this game 110- 61.
Lady Tigers score a season-high 61 points on 22-64 shooting from the floor, 14-35 from the three, and dished out a season-high 16 assist. Flying Queens held the advantage on the boards 52-28 and committed less TO (11-6).
