Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Central Christian season ends in the NCCAA National Final 4 as they drop match to Ottawa University Arizona

Kissimmee, FLORIDA – The Lady Tigers came up a game short of the NCCAA National Championship as they fall, 3-0 to Ottawa University Arizona in the semi-finals.

Tigers had a mighty challenge ahead of them as they took on perhaps the hottest team in the tournament, OUAZ, has only conceded one goal the entire tournament and have scored 12 goals prior to today's match.
The Spirit got off to a hot start as they scored 2 goals within 6 minutes of the start of the match, quickly putting pressure on the Tigers. The ladies though continued to fight hard to get back into the match, but the Spirit continued to press on the gas pedal and force Tigers goalkeeper to make some diving saves (5) to keep the score from getting too far out of hand. The Tiger offense came alive at the end of the half as they forced two shots on goal, but the Spirit GK was able to handle the shots and keep a clean sheet for the 1st half.

Down 2 goals was a tall order for the Tigers, but they managed to keep the game within striking distance through 75 minutes. The Spirit however found the back of the net for the 3rd time at the 75:56 mark and put a dagger into the Tigers season. Tigers held the Spirit to their lowest scoring for the tournament, but are unable to get on the board and go home finishing in the final four.

Tigers conclude their season as final four finalist for the 2nd time in program history (2015) and finish with a record of 14-8-1.
