st propels the Tigers to a 15 point lead, 45-30 at half. The Tigers were solid on both ends of the floor in the 1
st as they forced many Lion turnovers and were able to dominate inside the paint shooting 17-22.
Using the double digit lead the Tigers were able to keep the scrappy Langston teams from getting too close. The two teams had identical 2
nd half as far as scoring with Tigers edging out 40-37 to take home a 18 point victory, 85-67 over the Lions.
Tigers struggle from beyond the arc going 6-30 (20%), but still shoot 35-67 (52.2%) from the floor. Tigers only went to the line 11 times, but converted on 9 free throws (81.1%). Tigers scored a total of 54 of their 85 points in the paint and 20 points off of the 15 forced turnovers.
Tigers were able to out rebound the Lions 41-23 and dished out more assist 13-4. The Lions were able to go to the line 27 times converting on 21 to the Tigers 9 for 11. The Tigers defense held the Lions to 38.2% from the floor and 4-14 from the 3-point line.
