MCPHERSON, KANSAS – The Tigers opened up conference last night against Oklahoma City University. Tigers shot a season low 18-64 (28.1%) from the floor. The Stars end Tigers undefeated streak at home and take the game 72-60.
GAME SUMMARY
1st Half
Tigers get off to a rough start through the first 10 minutes as the Stars take advantage and go up 24-9 with 9:47 remaining. Despite the poor shooting, the Tigers slowly climb back in with some stops on defense and drawing fouls as they close on a 16-6 run to get back within 5 points at the half, 30-25.
2nd Half
A similar start the first half puts the Tigers in a 19 point deficit midway through the 2
nd half as Stars lead 57-38. Tigers continue to struggle as Stars continue to take advantage of the Tiger mistakes and go up 25 points, 64-39 with 4:43 remaining in the game. The Tigers closed on a 21-8 run, but ran out of time for a comeback dropping the game 72-60.
Tiger's offense comes alive a little bit too late and Stars escape McPherson with the win.
