Wood Leads Lady Tigers to 4th Place at Nationals

Palm Coast, Florida – The Central Christian Women's Golf Team concluded their play at the NCCAA National Golf Tournament on October 20th, 2021 with a 4th place finish. The Tigers played at the Ocean Course at Hammock Beach and shot rounds of 357-356-357 (1070) good enough for 4th. Bethel, IN took first place with 324-320-314 (958), 44 strokes over 2nd place Grace College.

Newcomer Kamryn Wood highlighted the week for the Tigers, shooting rounds of 86-88-78 (252). Her performance earned her an NCCAA All-American Award as she placed 9th overall in the tournament. Jessica Shurety won low-individual 78-73-74 (225), by 9 strokes over Asbury's Brighton Young.

Also for the Lady Tigers, Mikyla Albert 88-83-92 (263) placed 14th,Greenlee Lindsey 93-92-90 (275) placed 18th, Alyssa Ramirez 99-93-97 (289) placed T-21st, and Grace Little finished at 90-114-112 (316).

Head Coach Kyle Moody was thrilled for the team saying,

"This was our best performance at the National level and I'm proud of our ladies for their performance. We brought 3 underclassman to the tournament and it will be exciting to see what they can do down the road as they continue to gain tournament experience and play at a higher level."

With that, the Lady Tigers successfully conclude their fall season and will be on break until the Spring Season in late-January.
